Expert neck pain treatment
near Montgomery
Stiff neck, tension headaches, or radiating arm pain? Neil Ingram BSc Ost has been treating neck conditions in Brussels since 2002. €70 flat fee. Same-week appointments.
Why does neck pain happen?
The cervical spine is one of the most mobile — and most stressed — areas of the body. It supports the weight of your head while allowing complex movement, and it’s constantly affected by posture, stress, and how you sleep.
Neck pain can be sharp and acute (waking up unable to turn your head) or dull and chronic (that constant tension that never quite goes away). Both respond well to osteopathy — but the approach is different for each.
Screen-related neck tension
Forward head posture from laptop and monitor work is the most common cause of neck pain we see. Osteopathy addresses the postural pattern driving it.
Wry neck / acute stiff neck
Waking up unable to move your neck is often a facet joint irritation. It responds very well to osteopathic treatment — usually within 1–2 sessions.
Tension headaches
Most tension headaches originate in the neck and upper back. Releasing the muscular and joint tension in the cervical spine often resolves them entirely.
Radiating arm pain
Pain, tingling or numbness running down the arm can be caused by nerve irritation in the neck. Neil will assess the source and address it appropriately.
What does treatment involve?
Assessment begins with your history — when it started, what makes it better or worse, and what your typical day looks like. Neil will then assess your cervical spine mobility, look at how your shoulders and upper back are moving, and check for any signs that require further investigation.
Treatment for neck pain typically combines soft tissue work on the muscles of the neck and upper back, gentle joint mobilisation, and postural advice. High-velocity techniques (manipulation) are available but are always discussed first and never applied without consent.
“Mr. Ingram solved a persistent neck issue that no other treatment was able to touch. He is incredibly knowledgeable and kept me informed through each step. I felt safe and comfortable throughout.”
